PouncePrice.com (“PouncePrice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a price tracking and cash back platform for outdoor and hunting gear. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it. By using PouncePrice.com, you agree to the practices described in this policy. This policy is effective as of April 28, 2026.

2. Information We Collect

Account data: When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use magic link (passwordless) authentication — no password is ever stored on our servers.

Alert data: We store the target prices and product selections you save when setting up price alerts. This information is tied to your account and used solely to send you notifications.

Usage data: We may collect standard server log information, including pages visited, search queries entered, and links clicked. This data is used in aggregate to improve site performance and product coverage.

Cookies and session tokens: We use an Auth.js session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. This cookie is necessary for the service to function and is not used for advertising.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to send you price alert emails when a product you are tracking reaches your target price, to manage your account and authentication session, and to improve the performance and product coverage of the site. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Retailers

PouncePrice earns a commission when you click an outbound retailer link and make a purchase. We participate in affiliate programs with the following networks: KUIU via Pepperjam (Ascend by Partnerize), First Lite via Impact, and Sitka and Kifaru via AvantLink. These relationships are disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines.

When you click a retailer link, the affiliate network may place a tracking cookie on your browser. That cookie is managed by the affiliate network, not by PouncePrice. PouncePrice does not control retailer websites or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review each retailer’s own privacy policy.

5. Cash Back Program

PouncePrice plans to offer a cash back program that shares a portion of affiliate commissions with users who make qualifying purchases through our links. When this program launches, users who choose to participate will be asked to provide a PayPal account for disbursement. This additional data will be collected only from users who opt in to the cash back program.

6. Email Communications

We send transactional emails only: magic link sign-in emails and price alert notifications. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. You can stop receiving alert emails at any time by deleting your price alerts or your account. To delete your account, email support@pounceprice.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and alert data for as long as your account remains active. If you would like your data deleted, email privacy@pounceprice.com and we will remove your account and associated data.

8. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate PouncePrice. Each has its own privacy policy that governs its handling of data:

• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery
• Railway — PostgreSQL database hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Pepperjam (Ascend by Partnerize), Impact, AvantLink — affiliate tracking networks. Each network’s own privacy policy governs their cookies and tracking.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access the personal data we hold about you
• Right to correct inaccurate data
• Right to delete your account and associated data
• Right to data portability (export your alert data on request)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal data.

10. Children’s Privacy

PouncePrice is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@pounceprice.com and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of PouncePrice after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
